Writing An eBook – This Is The Beginning Of Something Much Bigger

I was consulting with a new client yesterday who has just completed her first eBook. She was hoping to just put it up on the internet and sit back while the money rolls in. After speaking with her for a short time, she finally realized that writing the eBook is just one of the stops along her journey to build her online empire. She now sees the possibilities for turning this one eBook into something much bigger.

The next steps will be for her to start writing articles and blog posts about her topic. This is best when started while you are writing your eBook, but she just found me online during the past week. Submitting articles to distribution sites such as Article Marketer will help her to gain the visibility and credibility needed to be perceived as an expert author in her niche. Blogging regularly will also be imperative if she is to be found online.

This client has already been active on Facebook and Twitter, but admitted she has never mentioned her eBook in either place. I encouraged her to be proud of her accomplishment and to self promote so that others will know what she has written. Making connections on these two social networking sites will give her the exposure that she needs.

It is only during the past year that we have been able to reach more than 100 million people in just a matter of minutes. She may even be invited to do some public speaking on her topic as she becomes more known in her field. Sending out a press release will make this much easier.

Finally, I have encouraged her to begin thinking of other products to create. She will begin with a workbook and an audio recording, and is planning on giving teleseminars that will also make a difference in how she can create passive income. All of these methods will create an online business that will go on for years to come.
