Happy 4th of July – My Independence
It is Independence Day in the United States today – July 4. Most people have the day off from work, and there are celebrations of many kinds all over the country. My day will begin before 6, when I help my Rotary Club set up the grills and the tables for our annual pancake breakfast here in Santa Clarita. Later in the day I will be at the Elk’s Lodge for a bar-b-que. I am also celebrating the day by not doing any writing.
I know that sounds unbelievable, but I am taking the day off from blogging, article writing, writing my eBook, tweeting, or doing any other social media writing. I may make some notes in the notebook I carry with me at all times, but I will wait until Saturday to do any formal writing for my business.
I encourage you to do the same thing. Take at least one day off each week to refresh and rejuvenate your creative process. Your writing will be better and your business will be more successful, because your brain will be ready to excel in your chosen area of expertise.
