Most of you know that I write lots of articles. Lots means that I just submitted my 741st article this morning. I write on a variety of topics, but most of my articles are about writing articles and eBooks, because this is what I am passionate about.
In the beginning I only submitted my articles to Ezine Articles. They are the largest directory, and I thought I would get enough exposure by just submitting to them. After a few months I began submitting to some of the other directories, and found them to not be very good in terms of getting my article circulated around the internet. I wrote a post a couple of months ago about article length. Now my articles are longer, about 400 to 450 words, and this is the reason why.
I have just started using the ArticleMarketerFree directory. This is the free version of their paid service. They require a 400 word minimum, and promise wider distrbution of your article than most any other directory. I encourage you to sign up for a free account, and I will let you know exactly what my experience is during this month. If the distribution is as good as they promise, I will most likely join the paid version to build my list more quickly and increase my income from my online business.

Having your own segment on an internet radio show is a great way to let people know who you are and what you do. I have just started doing weekly shows on Blog Talk Radio, and I can tell you that it is a unique way to find new prospects and clients while building your list. If you think you may be interested in hosting your own show, here are some suggestions that will make it work for you.
- Register for an account and spend some time getting to know how the system works. You don’t want to have to be looking for what you need when your segment is about to begin.
- Commit to do a show each week at the same time for the next four weeks. Blog Talk Radio allows you to book for up to a month in advance. This will give people an opportunity to listen to what you have to say and get to know you. You want to develop a following and this is the best way to let people know what time your show will be so that they can plan ahead.
- Use your keywords (more…)

Staying in regular contact with the people on your list is the way to build a good relationship with them and to continue building your list. If you are having difficulty coming up with good content to include in your autoresponder messages, look no further than your articles and blog posts. You have probably already written enough information in these two areas to keep your autoresponders and your list very happy for quite awhile. Here is how to repurpose your blog posts and articles into interesting and profitable email messages.
- Set up an autoresponder series that will send out messages through email to your prospects. I like to send out an email message every three days or so, requiring me to have about twenty messages over the first 60 days someone is on my list.
- I look over my articles and blog posts and print out the ones that provide good and useful content.
- I then type my autoresponder messages, taking the best parts of each article or blog post.
- For every third email message I include (more…)

You can repurpose the content you have written about in your articles and eBook by turning them into teleseminars. I have had great success with teleseminars and you can do the same thing. I have been giving teleseminars for over a year now, but it was not until I learned exactly how to build my list and market to my niche audience through these teleseminars that I began to build a five figure a month business.
I hold a free weekly teleseminar each Wednesady, and provide good and useful content to my listeners. Many of them come on these lead generating calls for several weeks and then choose to sign up for one of my courses or my mentor program.
Join me on one of these weekly calls to learn more about building your online business by writing articles and eBooks.

An E-course is a series of lessons that will teach your prospects about something they want to learn. You can break it into parts, or lessons, and deliver it by email through your autoresponder system. I use Kick Start, and you can get a 30 day free trial if you want to see how it works. If you sign up here I will also provide training on how to set it up twice a month at no charge.
At the end of each lesson you can include links to affiliate products and services that are complimentary to that part of your E-course. This gives you the opportunity to earn some money each time someone finishes one of your lessons. Visit Clickbank and ClickbankProSearch to find digital products you can promote. The key is to find affiliate products that will be of interest to your prospects so they will be more likely to make a purchase. You can decide how often to send out these lessons. Some people send one lesson each day for seven days, others prefer to send one lesson every two or three days to stretch out the time.
You may have signed up for someone’s E-course in the past. Sometimes people do not call it an E-course, so you may have received a series of tips or secrets on how to accomplish something of importance to you. Either way, it gave the person who was sending you this information an opportunity to stay in contact with you over time.
The best E-courses always include an opportunity for the prospect to continue to do business with you. Plan ahead to make sure you will have an eBook, teleseminar course, or other product or service to offer when the E-course is complete. For an example of how E-course work, download my E-course here. If you are having difficulty or have questions about setting up your own E-coourse, feel free to contact me at connie at connie-green dot com.

I started writing articles and learning about article marketing at the beginning of 2007. At first I could not see the benefit of writing and submitting articles on a regular basis, but as my list began to grow and I became better known on the internet, I was finally a believer.
Article writing and marketing will help people find you, increasing your visibility and attracting the right people to your business. When someone has read one of your articles they understand more completely what it is that you can do for them, because you have positioned yourself as an expert in your field. As you continue to submit these articles to the article directories, they will be distributed to sites around the world. Someone who may never have heard of you will now be exposed to your information.
I have now written 725 articles, so my method (more…)

When was the last time you sat down and enjoyed a magazine about a topic you write about? Writing articles to market yourself and your business can create a lead generating system for you for years to come. Once the article has circulated around the internet, people from around the world will be able to find you through the articles you have written in your niche. But how do you keep coming up with fresh new ideas for articles on your topic? I have just one word for you – magazines.
Yes, I look through magazines to come up with many good ideas for what to write about next. You can do this with the magazines you already subscribe to, read them at your local public library, or go online to sites that come from the magazine publishers. One of my favorite sites is at Magazines.com.
Sometimes I get ideas (more…)

Are you writing articles as a way to market yourself and your business? I have been writing articles for almost a year and a half now. It has become such a habit that it feels like something is wrong when I don’t write an article for a day or two. In fact, I can now write and submit an article on one of my niche topics in about thirty minutes or so. But why do I continue to write more articles. You would think that there would be a point where you could just stop writing. Here are the reasons why I continue to write more articles, and probably will for years to come.
- Every time I write a new article, I present my information in a slightly different way. Someone who is reading may get an insight that they could not before by reading any of my previous articles.
- Each article is a powerful sales agent that never sleeps. It carries my message and my contact information around the planet, and never gets tired.
- Writing articles makes all of my other writing (more…)

Blogging to build your online business will be the fastest way to get your name known on the internet. Even though there are several million blogs out in the blogosphere, yours can stand out and you can become known in your niche if you are willing to do some work, especially during the first two or three months. Here is how to use your blog to build credibility and reach people all over the world you will be interested in your products and services.
- Determine what niche you will specialize in. Many people try to be all things to all people and end up not being known in any niche market. Make a choice and then stick with it.
- Choose either Typepad or WordPress as your blogging platform. Both of these allow you to use the many features that set blogs apart from traditional websites, making it simple to conduct your business from your blog.
- Choose colors and a design that brand (more…)

Yes, that’s right. Create a product and have it ready to sell or give away in the next 24 hours. It can be done. You can do an audio recording and make the mp3 available, or you can combine two or three articles, write an introduction and conclusion, and offer it as a special report to your target audience. It does not have to be a complete eBook or series of audios. Keep it short and simple in the beginning, just to get used to the process of product creation.
The most important thing here is to just take action. Strive for excellence, not perfection. People want the information you have to share, so get going and create a product now. Once you create a product and offer it to others, you will see how easy it is. This will lead to your next product and you will be on your way.
Make a plan. Decide today if you will write or record your product. Then decide if you will give it away or sell it to your audience. Set a goal and then make it happen. Please email me if you need to bounce your ideas off someone else or have any questions whatsoever. I am here to assist you in becoming successful in an online business.

I started submitting my short articles to Ezine Articles in March of 2007. Within two or three months I had enough people on my list to start making money and build an online business. Before this time I had not had any direction to take to get started on the internet. To date, I have 667 articles published, with almost 111,000 page views. These numbers still seem incredible to me, and I lived through each day, so I know it can be done. To see where I am at when you read this post, just go to Articles by Connie. You can see that I write articles on a variety of topics. Some of the articles promote me and my sites, and others promote affiliate poducts and services that I endorse. I will tell you that each article will be worth about $100 to me over the course of about six months.
On my teleseminar today I will explain how to write these articles quickly so that you can get started with your own online business. Sign up in the box to the right and you will receive the call-in information. I will also make this call available so that you can listen to the replay at a later time.
Writing these articles has allowed me to position myself as somewhat of an expert, giving me increased credibility and visibility on the internet. It has also enabled me to write and sell my eBooks and make money from affiliate products and services. Be sure to listen to this teleseminar to get some new ideas.

Are you tired of blogging? Have you abandoned your blog after just a few months? If so, you are not alone. Many people give up on their blogs very quickly if they do not see the results they had hoped for - more visitors and sign-ups, readers leaving comments, and more revenue for their online business.
The Blog Squad, Denise Wakeman and Dr. Patsi Krakoff, have just released a 21 page report and audio that addresses these problems and more. And, best of all, this report is FREEE! You may already know that I learned just about everything I know about blogging from these two professionals. I started blogging a year before I found them and had just about given up. But with their excellent tutelage, I went from being a reluctant blogger to building an online business with my blog.
If you are going to spend two or three hours each week on your blog, make every minute of it count. I now look forward to blogging regularly, and see it as a way to connect with my audience and share information with them. More people than ever are leaving comments on my posts, and many people are able to find me through Google and the other search engines because of what I now do differently.
Sign up for this free report and get the latest information that will make you see why it is so important to keep blogging. You will learn how to spend less time posting to your blog, how to come up with great content, what the best design is for your blog, how to increase your number of subscribers and readers, and how to ge those readers to take action and sign up for your products and services.

When I was writing my first eBook almost two years ago, I found that my list was so small I would not have enough prospects to sell my eBook to once it was finished. I decided to take some of the points I had made in my eBook and turn them into a 6 part e-course. I began to tell my list, my business contacts, other bloggers, and anyone else who would listen about my e-course. The result was that my list began to grow and grow as people shared it with others. Everyone wanted my e-course, even though it only consisted of 6 short emails that I loaded into an autoresponder series. I began to make money as people purchased the affiliate products I listed at the end of each part of the e-course.
I have given away several of my e-courses as examples of how you can build your list and make money this way. Writing even a short e-course will position you as an expert in your field, and teach others the information you want to share in smaller, consumable chunks. Yesterday I found an eBook that describes the process in more detail and much better than I could do myself, so I want to share that with you now. It is written by Jimmy D Brown, the well-known internet author, and is called How To Create An E-Course. Please read it, learn from it, and let me know what you think about it.

Attending live conferences and events can be one of the ways to build your list, learn more about marketing your business, and connect with people you may want to joint venture with later on. I will only be recommending two of these conferences this year, and this one is probably my favorite because of the people involved.
The Bridging Heart and Marketing Conference, given by Judith Sherven and Jim Sniechowski, otherwise known as Judith and Jim, will be held at the Ayers Hotel, just 10 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport, and walking distance to the beach. The dates are in September, but find out if this is of interest to you now because it will most likely sell out during the next 6 weeks or so.
Judith and Jim are masters at soft-sell marketing, the exact opposite of those fast talking internet marketers you may have already encountered online. The line up of guests is outstanding, and includes Christina Hills, Ellen Violette, and Jeff Herring. If you have any intention of attending a conference this year, consider Bridging Heart and Marketing as the one that may change the way you think about doing business online. If you sign up for this conference through me, please let me know and I will share my commision with you. It means that much to me for you to attend, and I would love to meet you there.

Learning how to write an eBook that sells will make you incredible profits online. Many people jump in to eBook writing without doing any research or getting help from a mentor first. The result is usually that their eBook does not sell and they are disappointed that they have spent so much time creating a product that will not make them any money. Here are some tips on how to write an eBook that will bring you profits for years to come.
- Choose the topic for your eBook carefully. You want to write on a topic where there are many thousands of people searching for an answer to their problem. Spend time online to find out if there are other products or services that will help people solve this problem. Also, go over to the free keyword research tool at Wordtracker and see how many people are searching for the keywords associated with this niche topic.
- Start a blog right away. You will be able to write something every couple of days or so that gives people a tip or more information on your niche topic. Blogging regularly will (more…)

In the spring of 2007 I had just started submitting my articles to the article directories. It seemed like a lot of work to write articles for strangers to read. I honestly could not see how this was going to build my online business. I was working with a mentor at the time and decided to take his advice about this. I challenged myself to write 100 articles in 100 days. I told everyone I knew about this so that I would be held accountable for my actions. It was not easy at first, but writing these articles changed my life and my business. Here are the 7 things I did to achieve this writing goal.
- I trusted my mentor enough to know this was good advice he was giving me. He has written more than one thousand articles over the past two years and has been very successful in his own online business.
- I made up my mind to do it. Once I believed I could do that much writing I had overcome the biggest obstacle – putting limitations on myself.
- I kept a spiral notebook with me at all times to write down my ideas. The dullest pencil will always be better than the sharpest memory. Any time I thought of something I could write an article about I made a few notes in my notebook.
- I tried to see how everything in my life could be turned into an article. I wrote about my dogs, writing articles, building an online business, being a cancer (more…)

After much research and hesitation, I am finally on Twitter. You can follow me by going to Twitter and signing up. I am also on Facebook. You can go there and become my friend if you want to see how it all works. I just found out that you can write your blog posts directly through Facebook. The link is here, but you need to register for an account at Facebook first. It is called BlogIt and is a great feature from the people over at SixApart.
All of this social networking will take some time to set up initially, but I am seeing an increase in visitors to my blog and people signing up for my weekly free teleseminars. Set a time limit for working on it each day, and stick to your schedule. I will continue to discuss this, along with all things web 2.0, on my technology teleseminars.

You will sell more eBooks, as well as any other products, services, or programs you offer, by holding teleseminars to discuss them with people who are interested in your topic. In a previous post I discussed how you can make more money explaining your eBook on a teleseminar than you will by simply selling it.
There are different kinds of teleseminars - interviews, lessons, discussions - and they can be paid or free. I always make more money on a free teleseminar than on a paid one because I promote my upcoming courses and programs, as well as some affiliate products and services, on my free calls.
Here is what you can do on a teleseminar:
- demonstrate your knowledge on your niche topic
- build rapport with your audience
- make an offer for your upcoming programs, services, or products
- get feedback from your listeners
- create a product while you are speaking on the teleseminar
- get your message out to people who would not be willing to read your information
- convert your list into paying clients
- test out your ideas and delivery style
- find out what questions people have on your topic
- provide customer support or affiliate training
- hold a small group meeting for people enrolled in your current program
- answer questions that are too long or complicated to discuss through email
- position yourself as an expert in your field
- build your list quickly - this will be a highly-responsive list
- repurpose content you already have
Be creative and willing to experiment with this. When I began to teach my programs through teleseminars, instead of the previous way of using email and one on one phone consultations, my online income doubled within 30 days. Visit teleseminar strategies to get a $1 trial of the system I use for all of my teleseminars. It is the very best system available for the price. Join me on my free weekly teleseminars to see how it is done.
